HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) OPERATIONS MANAGER Los Angeles, 3-25-11

The HR Operations Manager administers local human resources activities such as: recruiting, compensation, local office communications, policies and procedures, performance management, employee relations, and overall management of human resources-related processes. In addition, the HR Operations Manager directs day-to-day local office operations and serves as a liaison between local office personnel and other groups, such as  Management and National HR (internal), and building management (external). In addition to the above, primary job responsibilities also include: partnering with senior management to determine hiring needs, as well as facilitating the recruiting and on boarding processes; employee development, including training, performance management, and goal-setting; monitoring staff chargeability; supervising executive assistants and receptionists and other office administrative personnel; and conducting all aspects of terminations, including exit interviews. Additionally, the HR Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining personnel files in the firm’s electronic filing system (GFR) as well as providing informational updates and reports to the National HR team.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements •

Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related degree is preferred with a minimum GPA of 3.0; • At least 5 years of relevant work experience; • Big 4 Firm experience a plus; • Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of Human Resources ; • Advance knowledge in Excel is preferred; • Knowledge of Ultipro or PeopleSoft a plus; • Excellent process and problem solving skills; and • Effective communication skills, including verbal (logical and organized), written, listening and presentation.
